Lacrosse off to a fast start

Boys victorious in their season opener

Boys lacrosse started the season with a win on April 4 against North Providence at home.

The team has moved down to D-III and is looking for a spot in the playoffs after coming up short last year with a 5-7 finish in D-II.

“The team looks good right now but everyone needs to develop more. We might not be our best yet but we all want to work hard to get to the goal of a state championship,” Weston Limoges, senior, said.

Limoges said  the team is one strong group of kids who are ready to battle and will compete in each game.

The team lost seven seniors from last year . The team is composed of a mix of six seniors, six freshman with only one sophomores and junior respectively.

“The upperclassmen are great to the underclassmen leading and helping them develop,” Limoges, said. “We all got each other backs and are ready for anything.”

The team is ready for their season and Limoges said they are willing to work together to accomplish their goals.
